Growing together, across the globe
Partnering with student leaders at Cleverland TSS in Rwanda to turn their ideas into meaningful change.
How Our Partnership Began
Sometimes, the most meaningful partnerships begin with a simple conversation.
While speaking about Little Acorns at a nonprofit fair in Des Moines, our founder, Marlaina caught the attention of the owner of Cleverland TSS, a school in Rwanda. Inspired by Marley's passion for youth leadership and community service, he saw an opportunity to connect students across continents through a shared commitment to making a difference.
What began as that chance encounter grew into a series of conversations with the school's owner and administrators. Together, we developed a plan to establish six student-led clubs at Cleverland TSS, each focused on empowering students to identify needs, develop solutions, and create positive change within their school and community.
Through this partnership, Little Acorns helps provide guidance, encouragement, and financial support to bring the students' ideas to life.
Although thousands of miles separate us, we share one belief: young people have the power to make an extraordinary difference, wherever they call home.
Meet Our Student-Led Clubs
Big ideas begin with passionate young people!
Through our partnership with Cleverland TSS, students have developed six clubs designed to address needs within their school and surrounding community. Each club is led by students, supported by school staff, and focused on creating meaningful, lasting change.
From environmental conservation and healthy living to education, athletics, cultural preservation, and leadership development, these students are turning their interests into opportunities to serve others.
Some clubs have already begun putting their ideas into action, while others are preparing to launch exciting new projects. Little Acorns is proud to support their efforts through mentorship, fundraising, and resources that help their ideas grow.
Six clubs. One shared mission. Endless possibilities.
