Great oaks from little acorns grow…
Our Story
Little Acorns was founded by Marlaina at age 12 with one simple belief: small acts of service can grow into something much bigger.
Marlaina has been volunteering in her community since she was very young by helping at local events, supporting service projects, and looking for ways to make a difference wherever she could. Over time, she noticed something important:
Many kids want to help… they just don’t always know where to start.
Little Acorns was created to give young people a starting point.
Our Mission
Little Acorns empowers children and teens to serve their communities through meaningful acts of service, leadership, and initiative.
We believe:
You are never too young to make a difference.
Service builds confidence and compassion.
Small actions create real impact.
What We Do
Little Acorns encourages youth to:
🌎 Serve their community
🤝 Help people in need
🌿 Care for the environment
⭐ Lead service projects of their own
Through encouragement, recognition, and providing leadership opportunities, Little Acorns helps kids build lifelong habits of kindness and responsibility.
Why It Matters
When children are encouraged to serve, they grow in confidence, empathy, and leadership.
By celebrating and tracking acts of service, Little Acorns turns “random good deeds” into a movement, showing young people that their actions matter.
Every small act helps grow something bigger.
Community & Partnerships
Little Acorns welcomes partnerships with schools, libraries, businesses, and community organizations who believe in empowering youth through service.
Together, we can grow a generation of kids who lead with kindness.
Founder
Marlaina continues to share the message of Little Acorns through school visits, community events, and her children’s book series, encouraging kids everywhere to plant seeds of kindness in their own neighborhoods. Learn more about Marlaina.
