Little Acorns Service Project Grants
At Little Acorns, we believe that small acts of service can grow into something powerful.
Many young people have wonderful ideas for helping their communities but may not have the resources to get started. Our Little Acorns Service Project Grants provide small amounts of funding to help youth bring their ideas to life.
These grants are designed to support young people who want to make a difference but may not be able to cover the cost of supplies or materials themselves.
Whether it’s organizing a neighborhood project, supporting a local shelter, or helping the environment, we want to help young leaders plant seeds of kindness in their communities.
Who Can Apply
Youth who are passionate about helping others are encouraged to apply.
Applicants should:
• Be a youth or teen interested in community service
• Have an idea for a project that benefits others
• Have permission from a parent or guardian to participate
Projects may be completed individually or with friends, classmates, or family members.
Grant Amounts
Little Acorns Service Project Grants typically range from $25–$200, depending on the project.
Funds may be used for supplies, materials, or other basic expenses needed to complete the service project.
Our goal is to remove financial barriers so youth can focus on making a positive impact.
Project Ideas
Not sure what kind of project to create? Here are a few examples of service projects youth might apply for:
• Creating care packages for a homeless shelter
• Organizing a neighborhood park cleanup
• Collecting books for children in need
• Making birthday kits for foster children
• Assembling hygiene kits for shelters
• Creating thank-you cards for healthcare workers or first responders
• Planting a pollinator garden or community flowers
• Hosting a pet supply drive for an animal shelter
• Organizing a winter coat or food drive
These are just examples — we love creative ideas!
After the Project
If selected for a grant, recipients will be asked to complete their project and share a short recap with Little Acorns. Photos of the project are encouraged so we can celebrate the impact young people are making in their communities.
Our Mission
Little Acorns was created to inspire youth to discover the power of service.
When young people are given the opportunity to help others, they develop compassion, leadership, and a lifelong commitment to their communities.
Sometimes all it takes is a small seed to grow something meaningful.
